“ For I reckon that the sufferings of this present time are not worthy to be compared with the coming glory to be revealed in us.” - Romans 8:18
Leonard Bernard Bryant came into this world on November 1, 1963 - the youngest child and only son born to Albert and Bertha Bryant.
Affectionately known by his family and friends as “Jelly”, he was a kind and gentle soul with a quick, witty sense of humor that he maintained even through difficult times.
Leonard was just a young boy when his parents divorced. The absence of his father, who was a preacher, was eased in part when he was later introduced to Jimmy Powell, a tire repair tech, who became an integral part of his family and his life.
As a young man, Leonard proudly worked 20+ years as a shuttle driver for Alamo Rent A Car. In 1993 he married Denise Wheeler. One year later, however, his world would be changed forever by the passing of his beloved mother.
After years of personal, health and financial challenges, Leonard moved to Daytona Beach, Florida and married his second wife, Michele Smith in 2017. They joined Daytona Christian Center where Leonard eventually served as an usher. In 2021, Leonard publicly declared his faith in Jesus Christ and was baptized.
On September 27, 2026 Leonard transitioned from this life to his eternal rest. He had two sisters — Linda Carey and Brenda Clacken (deceased); five children — Leonard Robinson, Danielle Bryant, Tiana Wheeler, Leonard Williams, Jonathan Bryant: and a host of grandchildren, aunts, uncles, nephews, one niece, cousins and friends. He will be deeply missed but never forgotten by all who love him.
